Squeaky Mouse Buttons

#1 Post by G24T » Wed Nov 22, 2006 5:49 pm

Hi,

I have a R60 and almost everytime I press the left mouse button on the trackpad, the button makes a squeaking noise. Is there a way to fix this problem?

Thanks.

If there was a liquid spill, might wanna check if it's been throughly cleaned up.

Check if the button is catching on something to cause the squeak.
Check if the entire keyboard is flexing somewhere and rubbing when you press.
[insert witty contrived signature here]

Hi,

I don't think my keyboard is flexing when I press the mouse buttons and I don't think it's catching on anything.

When I was using the mouse buttons once, my hands were a little wet. You mentioned cleaning this, how would I do the cleaning? I would have to take the machine apart to do this?

I tried searching over the Internet before I posted this thread and I heard some people say new mouse buttons tend to squeak a little. (this is new laptop) Is that the case?

Thanks.
