new R52's pcmcia eject buttons don't work

#1 Post by yawnmoth » Sat Nov 25, 2006 4:28 pm

I recently got a new R52 Thinkpad whose two blue pcmcia eject buttons don't seem to do anything. On other ThinkPad's I've had, they pop out when I push in. On this ThinkPad, nothing happens.

Does this constitute a manufacturer defect or am I just missing something?

Anyway, it's not all that important - I don't expect the pcmcia slots to ever be used, but... it is kinda disconcerting, none-the-less.

You have to have something in the slot first, then push in (like the older models) and they will pop out to eject your card.
