Z61t WXGA+ option gone?

Hi,

I'm looking for a 14" notebook with a WXGA+ resolution and I was quite happy to find out that the Z61t has this as an option (according to some reviews, forum posts, signatures, etc...).

I finally made up my mind to buy one and called Lenovo here in New Zealand and I was told that the only option available is the WXGA screen... at least in New Zealand... I was quite under the mood to hear this and started looking for options on how to get one over from the States. The first thing I did was to go to the US website of Lenovo where I was also unable to find a Z61t preconfigured with a WXGA+ screen either!!! I tried configuring one but this option never showed up!

There are still plenty of models in the tabook.pdf with the WXGA+ LCD so I'm now in total confusion... Could someone enlighten me how to get a Z61t with the WXGA+ screen (even in the US but preferably in Australia or NZ)?

You could try calling the U.S. order number and asking them... from what I hear, they're changing stuff all the time, and the parts they had in stock are quickly going out-of-stock and may not be available for awhile. So it depends, but it seems that you can get the most up-to-date info over the phone.

The WXGA+ models are available on the U.S. page - click Customize on the "Z61t with Bluetooth" column, you can select a WXGA+ screen.

However they are not listed on the NZ page, and if I had to guess simply aren't available in your geography.
