Latest bios 212

Ever since I did the last bios update, my Z61t does not behave correctly when put into standby. I get an occasional loud beep for no reason at all.

What is the wisdom of the forum about the new 212 bios from Lenovo? Should this fix the standby flakey operation? This seems to be a common ThinkPad issue as my T23 did the same thing.
