A31p display shrinkage

#1 Post by rlwoodlief » Sat Dec 23, 2006 11:16 am

First I was having trouble with my display resolution changing everytime I removed my laptop from the docking station, but I can live with that. It's simple enough to correct. My big problem is I have to run my resolution at 1600X1200 in order for my screen to be filled. My age is increasing as I type and I prefer 1024X768, but when I select this resolution, my screen shrinks and I have a BIG black border around it. Any clues?

I sold my A31p last month and so I can't check it for you, but there's probably an option in the BIOS to fill the screen.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

Enable HV expansion in the BIOS, or click on LCD icon in upper right of ThinkPad Configuration and choose Screen expansion Enable.

Thanks guys. You were right, I went into the BIOS and changed my display setting and low and behold, it makes an old timer happy again. I have five different laptops and sometimes it's hard to keep them all seperate.

Thanks again,

Robert
