z61t ethernet controller driver

My z61t is missing the driver for the ethernet controller after I installed a new XP home on it.

control panel
system
device manager
other devices
? ethernet controller

I tried all the possible drivers from lenovo.com and none of them worked. Does anybody know the manufacturer and model of z61t's ethernet controller and where I can download the driver for it?

I tried the broadcom driver, but it didn't fix the problem.
Does that mean the problem could be with the hardware rather than the driver?

Be sure and install all the Windows Install Supplements from the previous link (Intel Chipset & Windows XP updatemodules). If you still have problems, try burning a PC Doctor for DOS bootable CD - ThinkPad General, booting up from it and running the diagnostics.

I managed to find a copy of z61t's recovery & rescue disks.
