What is Z61m 15.4" WXGA Bright?

#1 Post by mark7 » Sat Jan 06, 2007 5:43 pm

Lenovo configuration page for the Z61m (9450) lists these 2 display options:

15.4" WXGA 200nit (Dec tabook shows this as 500:1 contrast)
15.4" WXGA Bright (no info in Dec tabook)

Lenovo sales rep did not have any information on the brightness & contrast for the Z61m "Bright" screen? All that he could tell me is this is NOT a maxbright screen. I'd assume it is brighter than 200 nits - but where are the specs? He claimed to be looking at more recent info than that of the 01 Dec '06 tabook, but there was still no info on this "Bright" display.

I like the maxbright screen - based soleley on reviews of it I have read. If the "bright" is not "maxbright", I am very curious to know how it compares...

Before anyone recommends a higher resolution Flexview, let me say upfront that 15.4" WXGA is my preferred size and resolution :)

TIA for any light you can shed on this topic (pun intended)

Hello,

it is a widescreen display 15,4" with 1280x800 resolution.

MaxBright TFT-panels are similar to Flexview, the manufacturer is the same (IDTech). Brightness is between 280 and 300 nits, i.e. cd/m2.

I have such a display at my Z60m which was the first thinkpad with such a display.

Regards Axel.
