Port Replicator II

#1 Post by Wayne » Sun Jan 07, 2007 9:21 pm

I'll be receiving my refurbished R-40 next week and a Port Replicator II. I notice the replicator has a DVI-D port. How is this port activated?

Hi, Wayne,

Good question. I just got one today, and I was a little disappointed that it has that DVI-D port rather than the S-Video port on my R52 and my TV. What I need to find out is if the S-Video passes through to the DVI-D port, and if I can use an adapter to make it S-Video.

I want to use the Port Replicator II in a travel trailer, interfacing the TP with the TV and the stereo.

Gee, things are seldom EASY.

Won't work. . .

What I've found out, though no help from here, is that it's strictly for a digital monitor. Won't work for a TV. Since my external 19" wide screen LCD is analog, my quest is over.
