I am considering purchasing a stripped down z61m and upgrading it to suit my needs. I will upgrade the following myself.
1. Buy minimum memory and upgrade to 2GB
2. Buy a cheap HD and upgrade to a 100GB
3. Upgrade the processor.
Which of the above steps (if any) will void the warranty?
Cheers,
What is covered in the warranty?

#3, presumably, although if you were careful and kept the old one and if service was needed swapped it back in, perhaps they wouldn't notice.rambot wrote:I am considering purchasing a stripped down z61m and upgrading it to suit my needs. I will upgrade the following myself.

As to 1 and 2, Lenovo is obviously not going to warranty those things that you bought elsewhere, although the rest of the machine should still be warrantied.
