Z60m freezes, help please !!

#1 Post by empiref » Tue Jan 16, 2007 4:55 pm

i have a Z60m, about 6 weeks, something weird happened.
i was working on my laptop, and suddenly the laptop froze, the screen froze, the mouse cursor didn't move at all, i tried Ctrl+Alt+Delete, nothing happened.
then i tried Shift+F1, also nothing happened, i waited for about a minute, then tried to move the mouse, nothing changed, i noticed that the computer was still running, but i couldn't do anything.
so i shut it down from the shutdown button and then turned it back on.

about 2 weeks ago, this incident started happening frequently, on average everyday....

can someone please enlighten me.......i'm lost....

thank in advance guys.

The same thing happened on my A31p. First make sure the RAM is properly seated (it probably is). Next, if you can format the computer to clean out any possible viruses or driver problems. For me it turned out the problem was in the CPU and it had to be replaced through easyserv.
