2 Problems - Bluetooth and Ultranav

#1 Post by mstreger » Tue Jan 16, 2007 7:57 pm

Just upgraded my old T42p to a Z61m. Overall it's a decent machine, but I have 2 problems that I can't seem to solve:

1) When I have the bluetooth radio turned on, I constantly get a "disconnect" and "reconnect" sound in Windows. It appears to be the bluetooth LAN connection kicking in and out. I tried completely removing all the BT drivers, upgraded the firmware, reinstalled the most recent BT software and the Windows driver, but the same problem exists. Plus, at first I was able to make BT devices connect, but now I don't have the tray icon and when I try and pair a device it errors out. Anyone have similar experiences or solution ideas?

2) I can't scroll using the Ultranav touchpoint center button in certain applications. Outlook 2003 allows me to scroll in the message list or text e-mails, but not in HTML messages. I set up the synaptics DAT files to allow scrolling in Trillian, Itunes and Wordperfect but neither one seems to work. These are exactly the same settings I had on the old T42p and it worked there. This is using the most recent Ultranav drivers with the BIOS updated. Again, similar experiences or ideas?

Thanks in advance. I tried tech support once and struck out, and I don't have any solutions online or in Usenet.

Matt
