Request Recovery disks for R50e

#1 Post by benny1225 » Mon Jan 29, 2007 4:55 pm

Can anyone tell me how to get recovery disks for R50e from IBM or somewhere from the internet? I forgot the password for the rescue and recovery program (I can't even remember when did I set the password). Is there any wildcard password that can get rid of it.

Unless your machine is still under warranty your chances of getting free recovery disks are almost nil.

XP-P part nbrs are 39K6281 for U.K and 39K9505 for U.S/Canada.

There are 7 Cd's in the set, which would kind of preclude you finding them on line.

Some members may provide copies for a handling/postage fee or you can try Ebay.

The last time I looked..recovery disks were about USD40.00 from Lenovo.

Try to post your request in the marketplace forum. :-)

That password is supervisor password.
