r60 shock detector

#1 Post by wanderlust » Tue Feb 06, 2007 1:40 pm

My r60's shock detector sometimes crashes, my first reaction was to check system update, and there was a packet for intel matrix storage manager driver. I downloaded and installed the packet many times in the last few weeks but it always stays there... Any idea whats going on?

Hi,
Welcome to thinkpads.com support community

What have you done to make the software crash? Because i do not have this problem on my R60. Any particular games or newly installed software running and causing IRQ conflicts with the shock detector?

I would suggest checking which new software is having IRQ conflict with shock detector and if cannot find out the real culprit, then you must run recovery. If you found the real culprit, then remove that new software which is having a conflict with shock detector.

HTH :-)

I must have installed quite a few programs since that problem occured. I guess I'll take my com to my friend who would understand that. Thanx!

And how about the pc doctor? Does it work with a cd drive? Why everyone only talks about backup floppys, when noone makes computers with floppys anymore??
