Z60m CDRs not read by G5 Mac

#1 Post by sunradio4 » Fri Feb 16, 2007 5:09 pm

Has anyone else has this issue? My Z60m has a MATSHITA DVD-RAM UJ-830SX which burns CDRs fine with the Sonic Software. But the Superdrive on my G5 running the latest update on OS X 10.3.9 can't read them. I find this odd, as the Superdrive reads most stuff burnt from PCs. I've tried the 'make compatible' button, but it still won't read. Any similar issues? :?

You might try using different media and see if that makes a difference. It also may depend on what type of CD you are trying to make. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optical_di ... ding_modes , and also look at the links under Standards at the right of the above page.
