R60 on it's way

#1 Post by Fusion » Mon Feb 19, 2007 1:30 am

Hi!
I ordered a TP R60 Friday and should be getting it within the next few days so I would like to ask some of the local owners what they think. It's pretty much too late to make a change, though I don't actually wan't to, just interested in the pros and cons.
I chose the R60 (9461-DXG) especially because: I'm used to the T series, nice resolution on the 15" (I don't like widescreens, nor bigger displays), and pretty much the specs look great at a reasonable price (1775 USD here).
I actually did want a T60, but didn't find one in the price range, except for the P-CD 1.6 models, and I wanted at least 1.8Mhz CD and those are about $700 more than the R60.

So what should I get ready for when I take it out of the box? (except seeing an awesome machine) :)

Well, shipment recieved :)
I must say that this thing is awesome. It's the first time I bought a brand new Thinkpad and I'm glad I didn't buy any other notebook.
The quality is wonderful and I like the texture more than the T23. Looks like it'll last longer.
Oh, and I was surprised and glad to see that I got two extra trackpoint rubbers.
