Unknown devices need drivers

#1 Post by iam8up » Sat Feb 24, 2007 1:47 am

I just did a fresh install of my retail copy of WinXP (used the Thinkpad ghost image for far too long =) I've got through the list of devices a dozen times in my head and I simply can not figure out what devices these are. I need my fellow Thinkpads Forum members' help =)

Here's my device manager:

I do not have a bluetooth device, nor an integrated camera. Would the security chip device be one of those? If so, what do I need to install?

I think one of those is Trusted Platform Module (TPM) , the second may be related with the Intel Chipset driver or ACPI Power Management.

You need the Windows update modules. Did you install those?
m-g has some good tips.

Why not install System Update or Software Installer and let it install the drivers you need?
