I have 1GB RAM in my R60 and I'd like to upgrade to 2GB.
I've been looking at the local PC seller's offer and I'm a little confused and I also don't know which brands are quality.
All of these sell at around 100USD.
Here's a few examples:

And then there's the 150USD Transcend:

So I have no idea which is good for my IBM, can anyone help?
Btw: when I install it, should I let the PC company do it or can I do it myself?
I'm very familiar with repairing/taking apart IBM notebooks, I'm just not sure what the warranty would say.

Out of all of the brands you mention, Zeppelin is the only one I have not heard of. As long as your seller will guarantee proper operation of each module and you run a memory diagnostic such as memtest86+ once it is installed, then you shouldn't have to worry too much.
