Have you checked if its on from Thinkpad software. Its Function+F5 key on my Z61p. When i received my thinkpad I had to manually start bluetooth doing that even though the switch was on and wireless internet was working.

Strange thing, when I bought my Z61t it had bluetooth on the spec, but when I booted it up, the BT would not work, and did not appear to be even installed. I was worried that I had brought a 'pig in a poke', and the PC hadn't got BT, but I tried downloading the BT driver from the IBM website, and this fixed it.

So the factory fresh PC had the hardware, but no BT driver installed. I wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

I have the same problem with my newly delivered Z61T. The spec and the invoice state that it has bluetooth, but no bluetooth to be found on the machine. There is software and the bluetooth sign on the panel underneath the display. Someone mentioned above that there is a bluetooth switch....where is that? And how do I go about downloading the driver?

The switch is located on the front of the unit next to the red mic jack.
