Alright, so up until a few days ago, I have always used the access connections and the productivity center to connect to wireless connections as I prefer it over the software included with windows. However, I installed the new update for the wireless card from the IBM system update and a few windows updates from the automatic updates. But now I can’t "find wireless networks" from the productivity center because the button is missing from the menu and I cannot turn it back on. Plus, when I open Access Connections, I cannot find networks from there either as it says I do not have a card installed. When I press Fn+F5 it says the same thing. But when I use the wireless software included with windows, it connects just fine. I tried uninstalling the hotkeys, power manager, access connections, and drivers for the card, re-installed them in the correct order, called IBM, and nothing has worked yet. I also tried to re-install the wireless driver and I can’t stop the card from automatically installing. When I run the installer, as soon as it gets to the PROset/wireless, it encounters an error and cancels the installation. I know a restore will probably fix it but I’d really rather not. Any ideas?
*EDIT* Oops, forgot to mention I have a Z61m with the Intel 3945 wireless card
