Dark vertical stripe on LCD (R51)

Hello,

Yesterday a dark vertical stripe appeared on my R51's display. It's not black, the screen is visible, but has a greyish tint on that area. The stripe is approximately 8 cm wide, regular shaped, starts at the top of the screen and ends at the bottom.
Any help would be appreciated.

Does it occur on an external moitor? if not, then it is the LCD, I have had alot come in with that problem. Especially the R51s.

Thank you for the reply. Now I'm at home without a monitor but I'll check it when I can.
I've taken a picture of the screen to show the problem.
