LCD display Replacement [R60e]

#1 Post by !Blob! » Tue Apr 17, 2007 9:59 am

Hello

Since my R50e died without reason in December I bought a brand new R60e (and I'm still very glad I bought it). One problem that bugs me up is that I've somehow got few scratches on the LCD. Well It's a new notebook and I don't want any of those on it. So - since LCDs aren't that exepensive - I'd like to replace it. I faced one big problem. I can't find in the mighty Google nor on corporate sites the exact model of the LCD screen. I'd like to buy something similiar as current have beautiful colors and quite big viewing angle.

I've found LP150X1, LP150X1, LP150X1, LP150X04, LP150X08 and others very cheap but I haven't found any information about my current model. I don't even know how many pins the connector have.

I've also never replaced any LCD but it can't be though task, right? Maybe you've got some advices on choosing a replacement LCD?

Sincerly,
Tomasz Dzierżek

Come on, I've got the manual downloaded ever since I bought R60e. But it won't help me. I need the exact model type of LG.Philips LCD. All I can get from manual is the FRU number (13N7124). I need something like "LP150X1" which is the manufacturer number.

Bunch of "CHx, CJx, CKx, CLx, CMx, CNx, CPx, CQx, CRx, CSx v 9456-CTO, 68x, 69x, 6Ax, 6Bx, 6Cx, 6Dx, 6Ex, 6Fx, 6Gx, 6Hx, 6Jx, 6Kx, 6Lx, 6Mx, 6Rx, 6Sx, 6Tx, 6Ux, 6Vx, 6Wx, 6Xx, 6Yx, 6Zx, DRx, F3x, F4x, F5x, F6x, FAx, FBx, FCx, FFx, FGx, FHx, FJx, FKx, FLx," from manual won't help me in that...

I'm mad because of this scratch and I don't want to be mad more when I buy a LCD that is worse than current one.

Help?
