Mmmm. Tasty. ----------------(a 14 inch screen.?!)
I am looking at an R60, T60 or a Z61p to get the bus. I can't make up my mind.

The R60 really suits my needs (I don't mind the 2.8 weight), i'm used to the untouchable T's, and i fancy the wide & fancy Z.

OK, the laptop is still about 1.5” thick, and has the IBM logo on the case, and Lenovo on the screen frame.
R60 vs. my workstation at the office:
The R60 has a faster processor (I’m running a Pentium 4 at work), and I can tell the difference with some applications. As far as running cad and some other programs, my workstation still has an edge because of the Quadro card and two 10,000 rpm Raptors running in raid 0. They are both running 2G of ram. That said, I am very happy with the new laptop, especially for the price.
I really can’t see what all the commotion about the screen is over. If this is a cheap screen, it looks very good doing it.
The keyboard seems decent, although for some reason I still prefer the way my 770 feels when I type. That will likely change with use. The 770 also has a more substantial feeling CD drive.
Again, I am really happy with the purchase and glad I choose the R60. The T60 would have been nice, but the laptop will never travel. I could be wrong, but I think the larger case will help cool it, as it does seem pretty cool when running intense cad files.
