ATI Mobility radeon x300 update

MS Update offered new driver for x300 based notebooks like my R52. It is not yet visible for Lenovo System Update or Software Installer. How long it takes to have these updates available?
Can I install driver from MS Update.

Sometimes I am suffering display problems, like Start/Connect to... submenu will stay on screen even when Start menu has closed.
