My Laptop doesn't like to drink tea

#1 Post by txspaderz » Tue May 22, 2007 3:28 pm

My son spilt a cup of tea on my laptop while it was closed last night. Unfortunately, I wasn't around, and my wife didn't tell me until I tried to reboot my laptop 4 times as it was frozen when I opened it up.

So I took everything out, let it dry overnight. This morning, I get to post, and it gives me this error:

Error Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller

I took out the Mini PCI Card Combo thing out of the bottom, and it posts fine. When I try to boot up Windows, it freezes up as the Microsoft Screen is coming up. When I try to boot into safe mode, it freezes up at agrp.dll.

Any idea's on how I should proceed next? Any suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jacob

Go get the Hardware Maintenance Manual, tear it down, clean out all the tea with distilled water, look for signs of electrical shorts shorts (smoke marks), let it dry for a couple of days, reassemble and pray.
Good Luck.
