Z60 WLAN suggestions/experience 802.11n

has anyone tried the 802.11n cards for their thinkpads. I see the official FRU is 42T0825 which is really just an Aetheros model: AR5BXB72 I believe.

I have read that thinkpads will not use a non IBM branded card. Does anyone have any experience with this and can confirm or deny. The price points are dramatically differant for branded vs. non-branded.
