R52 1847 vista capable ?

#1 Post by courtneydidit » Sun Jun 03, 2007 6:48 am

Hi guys,

I have a r52 1847 and tried to tune it so that Vista works with it.

I've disabled indexing and Aero, and it's still quite slow. It's got 512 MB of memory, the X300 graphics and the 5400 rpm Hdd.

What can I do to make it work normally fast with Vista? Should I forget abou [censored] and go back to Xp ?

HELP !!! :-)

You need to have 1GB of RAM at the very least. 2GB would be even better.
Microsoft Surface 3 (Atom x7-Z8700 / 4GB / 128GB / LTE)
Dell OptiPlex 9010 SFF (Core i3-3220 / 8GB / 8TB); HP 8300 Elite minitower (Core i7-3770 / 16GB / 9.25TB)
Acer T272HUL; Crossover 404K; Dell 3008WFP, U2715H, U2711, P2416D; Monoprice 10734; QNIX QHD2410R; Seiki Pro SM40UNP

2GB would be fine. My new Gateway desktop has 1GB and it goes 'busy" from time to time. I can only expect the computer to slow down after more apps, malware, and HDD data pile up.
