Z61M Drivers / OEM CDs

#1 Post by Miller88 » Sat Jun 23, 2007 11:18 am

A friend got a Z61M laptop with Vista. It was a display model and didn't come with an OEM cd ... only a vista install CD

Is there anywhere I can download the driver cd for the laptop.

I am not sure what you mean by driver CD. Lenovo does not provide any driver CD with their notebooks. All the drivers are available online to download from lenovo website. Moreover you can download ThinkVantage System update, it will gather all the downloads/drivers available for your system.

However, if you're looking for restore CD you can request it from someone in the marketplace of this forum or buy directly from lenovo.

You can download all your drivers from the following page. You can use ryengineer's tip by downloading ThinkVantage System Update located under Notes, near the top of the page. If you would rather install the drivers manually, be sure and follow the installation instructions carefully for each driver.

Drivers and software - ThinkPad Z60m, Z60t

FYI, the software for the Touch Pad and TrackPoint is called the UltraNav driver.

Thanks for the help! I'll be running the think vantage system update when I get down there again.

All the drivers for your machine should be located in the IBMTools folder.
