I am torn. To 3 years? for the cost of $244.86(AUD) and I can get another 30% off that price... I will make the decision tomorrow for my R61.

More warranty is always good, you never know when you're going to need it.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Although it's a matter of preference / priority, IMHO, these are the things I look at when evaluating a new or used laptop for purchase.

1. screen (size / dpi)
2. stability of platform (this is why a T42P is better than a T43P in my book)
3. warranty

Having a good warranty is like a warm blanket.
I say definately buy it.
