R32 HDD replacement with 80 GB 7200 rpm?

#1 Post by South of Sanity » Sat Jul 14, 2007 7:42 am

can anyone please advise if i can upgrade the 20 GB 4200 rpm HDD in my R32 to an 80GB 7200 rpm ?

Available options are Hitachi, Seagate and Western Digital. Any preferences ?

The battery was weak and didnt last more than about 10mins but showed up as x%. when plugged in, it charged till 99%. However, when i removed the 20GB, the battery doesnt show a charge at all. constantly 0%. when i disconnect the power chord, the machine switches off indicating thebattery is not charging at all. is this a problem occured due to the HDD removal or simply the battery dying?
