I have an r40 p m 2723 1.3g dead video chip,I need options.

My screen keeps blinking and the video chip 16mb chip is bloody.It locks up and I dont wanna pay 175 for a mother board.


What is the cheapest way to put something together?
As far as r series or a series,or a new mother board?

its the 14inch screen w/30g hd, dvd,16mb ati,1.3mhz,512k so its nothing special,But I m attached to it and its comfortable and runs really cool compared to my dells that burn my lap.
