Non-Voip phone use on the Z61m?

#1 Post by brick » Sat Jul 21, 2007 10:30 pm

I am curious if anyone has had any luck recording telephone calls using their laptop modem Z series. Clearly, the other party would know that they were being recorded, however I was curious if Z series offered that ability through its modem. And if so how have you configured it. I know there are software out there that will do it, however because there is not a line in and line out I am unsure of how to exactly go about doing it. Perhaps I need to use a line splitter and treat the RJ 11 line going into the modem as a line in recording device and use a telephone as well. Mind you, this is not voice over IP I am looking to do it's the standard copper wire calls.

Thanks in advance for any advice,

DAS
