Second SATA port

#1 Post by mtommy » Sun Jul 29, 2007 4:34 am

Hi there,
I know that it exists a second SATA port inside z61p to connect a second hard drive....is it true? Where is it?

Thanks a lot

mtommy,
Welcome to forums.
There is no physical second SATA port on your Z61p.
However there are a couple of ways to connect a second SATA drive to your TP
1. use the 2nd harddrive adapter Ultrabay slim (fits in your ultrabay enhanced. just swap it with your DVD)
2. use a eSATA pcmcia or eSATA express card adapter

T400 2765-82u T9800 8gb ram, crucial M ssd, windows 7, Advanced mini dock

Ok great.....

I think between the eSata pcmcia and the eSata express card adapter is better the second one right?

Ciao

yes, the express card would be a better option(fastest).
