Wifi on a A2X series laptop?

Is this guy legit? I mean sure it has a minipci slot in there but doesn't the A20p not have daughter board support and therefore the Ethernet and modem are ON the minipci card? And if I were to put in a WIFI card, then I'd have no ethernet ability anymore?

I believe that is correct. If you have the ethernet/modem combo card, then you would have to remove it in order to install the wireless card. That's the trade-off to get internal wireless.

The next question is whether it's possible to install something like the Actiontec modem/WiFi combo card from a T23. As far as I know, there is no ethernet/WiFi combo card made.

On certain A series IBM has actually put the "b" card in one of the PCMCIA slots, and to the best of my belief that was the only factory option at the time...I've had this on an A22M.

I've had dozens of A2xP machines and have yet to see one with internal wireless...not to say that they don't exist...

Good luck.
