Z61m Screen Problem

#1 Post by phoenix_one » Sat Aug 11, 2007 11:18 am

Only the top 1/3 of the screen is visible. Everything below turns a whitish color. Do you have any idea on what the problem would be?
If I pressed half way on the left border of the screen it would flicker to normal but it no longer responds.

It only has about six months from the date of purchase. And it would be about month and a half before I could send it for repairs.

Thank You for your insight

exact description of bad LVDS cable or bad LCD panel, in both cases it means hardware failure => service depot.

Just to post an update.

I called EasyServ and I sent the machine for repairs and they replaced the LCD screen.

It took 3 days from pickup to delivery.

Not bad at all.
