R51. Browser keys

#1 Post by jpdarcis » Tue Oct 26, 2004 10:03 pm

IBM has seen fit to devote two keys to browsing on the R51. May be this is to help those who use the Trackpoint? Nevertheless, those two keys are not mappable with IBM's keyboard utility. Does anyone know a way to assign them to other functions ? At worst, where do I find the key code that I need to know if I want to enter the necessary lines in the registry? I would like to assign them to page up and down.

Best regards

Looks like they're mapped through the hardware, like on cheap multimedia keyboards. try to find a third-party keyboard remapper.

Oleg.

Oleg,

I do use a third party keyboard customizer but it does not include such keys. Do you happen to know one?

Best regards

Skanky,

If you are referring to the mapping function from IBM Access, configure, Manage keyboard, sorry but the forward, backward keys are not configurable there. If I am missing something, please tell me which executable file to launch to access this function, I have disabled a max of the IBM stuff that loads by default.

Best regards
