R50P lid does not sit snug against the base ?

#1 Post by wearetheborg » Tue Sep 18, 2007 7:53 am

For Txx laptops trhe lid rests snug against the base. For R50P it seem the lid is too big for the base, and there is a gap between the lid and the base :( It seems like the lid overhangs with respect to the base.

Is this only for the R50P or all R series 15" laptops ?

Well, on an R52 the front lip on the lid also overhangs the base, so it would be difficult to determine if they meet evenly or not. Mine looks straight if that helps.

Sigh. That was one of the things I really likd about the thinkpads. The overhand makes it seem more fragile and of inferior quality.

The lids are pure plastic right ?
