0192 - Embedded Security hardware tamper detected

#1 Post by slname » Sun Oct 28, 2007 1:35 pm

I have a brand new R61, with the security chip disabled. I've left my notebook on and the screen closed. Came back, and got this error on the screen. Checked out the manual, and it says I should bring the notebook in for a repair. Should I really? I restarted the computer and it works fine now...

Any ideas?

If it occurs again then you should.
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.
