Inverters for A31 UXGA

#1 Post by fasterbybike » Wed Oct 31, 2007 11:04 pm

Can somebody please clarify the situation with inverters for an A31p UXGA screen.
The HMM shows 2 inverters for 15" A31 LCDs.
- 26P8133 and 62P9872 for SXGA+
- 26P8133 for UXGA

My current A31P UXGA screen has the 62P9872, even tho the book says it is only for the SXGA+ :?

Is the difference the switch for Bluetooth, or will either inverter work for either screen (with or without BT) ?

Did you get to the bottom of this?
I have the same problem:
I bought an A31p with a faulty screen; I then bought a second hand UXGA screen (05K9969) and a 26P8133 inverter, as per Levano parts list.

Turned out that the screen was the problem, but what is con fusing me is that it had a 62P9872 fitted; I fitted the 26P8133 and the screen dies!

It could be that the secondhand 26P8133 is faulty, or perhaps it is something to do with the bios? I still don't know if the 62P9872 is optional (and working correctly)? I wiil need to get another 26P8133 to see if this one is faulty!

Any ideas will be appreciated.;
