Where can I find good deals for batteries (for Z60t)?

#1 Post by rknotes » Mon Nov 05, 2007 9:34 pm

My replacement battery died just after an year and now I'm screwed.. thanks to the small print warranty thingy from Lenovo :(

Anyways, I'm sure IBM/Lenovo will cost me way more than other retailers... so I wanted to check with the folks here for any good sites for good deals for batteries (for Z60t)?

Much appreciated..
Thanks...

ebay perhaps, you'll find generic batteries (no IBM or lenovo brand) there only I think, but if you're fortunate and someone is selling an original battery for less then you can avail that opportunity.

Check newegg too, at times they've very economical deals there via rebates etc.

Thanks! I did find some good deals on ebay -- around 60ish..

UPDATE:
I was checking this forum and found a post (cant find it as of right now) in which someone mentioned about the IBM defective battery replacement program and I checked for mine and found that mine is part of that program and after submission, they send a 4 cell battery in 2 days..

Lenovo currently has a replacement battery program for certain batteries.

I used a 4-cell battery for my z61t and after 120 charges and about a year of usage, it died on me. I called Lenovo and they said that one-year is the expected life on average. Although he did say that if the battery couldn't last a year, it would be covered under warranty.

That's pretty poor battery life IMHO.

In any case, I had to get another battery, this time a 7-cell battery. I hope it'll last longer than a year.
