Hello,
The LCD cover (bezel) in my G40 has got loose. If the angle between the basic unit and the lid is ca 30 degrees, the lid falls under its own weight and the bezel closes. Before the hinge wasn't so loose and I could leave the laptop half-open, without the risk of self-closing. I've read how to remove the keyboard and middle cover to reach the hinge (it's described in detail on lenovo's website). But I don't know how to tighten the hinge. I don't want to dismantle the laptop just to find out that nothing can be done and I should have it serviced. Is there any screw (I suppose) for tightening the hinge?
Any hint appreciated
Thanks in advance
regards
Krzysztof

There are screws on the rear of the TP which may need to be tightened a little. Have a look in the Hardware Maintainance Manual, you can find it here
