R61 unknown devices

#1 Post by alessio.alessandretti » Wed Nov 07, 2007 5:02 am

I have a R61 7732-1EG
originally packaged with Vista Business,
I've reinstalled XP pro
all drivers downloaded from lenovo support site,
but I can't recognize 4 device in hardware list (still with ?), 1 is fingerprint which I did'nt install but the other 3 is unknow.
I've installed
- audio driver
- video driver
- monitor driver
- power management driver
- intel chipset
- modem driver

Anyone can tell me how to detect the unknown devices and install the correct drivers?

Thanks,
Alessio.

Download the latest version of ThinkVantage System Update 3.10, it would try to gather missing pieces for your machine.

OR

Post some more details about the missing drivers, I'm sure someone will be very willing to help you here on that too.

I 'downgraded' to xp home and had similar problems. I downloaded the system manager and it sorted most problems. I also found some drivers with windows update, using the custom option.

I have no sound and I'm still searching for a driver.

I can't find it now but before on this forum there was a thread about installing the drivers for the sound card and you had to install the KB888111 update from microsoft. I had already installed Windows XP service pack 3 so it would not work until i uninstalled the service pack then i had only service pack 2 and it let me install the hotfix KB888111 and then it found the hardware and the driver installed fine.
I got the driver from .
