rundll32.exe problems on R50

#1 Post by thinkstrange » Thu Nov 11, 2004 8:56 pm

Hi,
I have a R50P and I am having a problem I am hoping someone can help me with. My system will slow down to a crawl at times.
When I open Task manager when this happens I see that run32dll.exe is consuming 99 to 100 % of my processor power.
I got so frustrated trying to track down the culprit driver or application that I reloaded the system from scratch and now the darned problem is back again.
I have checked all the obvious things and have scanned for viruses.

Has anyone seen or heard of this problem that could give advise on how to track it down?

Thanks,
Paul

Try updating (or removing) IBM record now and IBM DLA.

Also update bluetooth driver (or turn off if not being used).

I had the same problem with my R50P.
I finally isolated it to the Battery MaxiMiser Wizard. I updated the
drivers for it and cured the problem.
