Possible to replace trackpoint buttons? Cost?

#1 Post by Reyngel » Sat Dec 01, 2007 5:24 pm

So, I was trying to remove the right button below the trackpoint and I accidently broke a hinge that I didn't know existed, and now it won't lock into place. Is it possible to order a replacement part?

Not sure if I understand you correctly. A TrackPoint consists of a red stick on the keyboard and three click buttons below the keyboard, if you're referring to those button then a replacement part cannot be ordered from lenovo, you would need to order the whole keyboard.

Checkout the following thread to see if you can find some more information:

X21 - Can I replace the mouse button?
"I've come a long, long way," she said, "and I will go as far,
With the man who takes me from my horse, and leads me to a bar."
The man who took her off her steed, and stood her to a beer,
Were a bleary-eyed Surveyor and a DRUNKEN ENGINEER.

Oh, my bad. I meant the mouse/touchpad buttons, which according to an ebay auction, it's one panel? It's going for $50 with $10 shipping. So expensive! Can I get it cheaper anywhere else?
