Problem using IBM rescue and recovery
I am an owner of R51 IBM Thinkpad which I purchased 2 Years Back. Actually my OS somehow got corrupted and was not working well. So what I decided was to go for a factory restore. But before going for it I wanted to go for a backup of my important documents. I had installed an application enrypted magic folders to hide these documents and I was not able to backup these important documents because this application was also corrupted along with the OS. So what I did is Installed a new XP using my Friend's CD. I installed the new OS on a separate folder on root. After successful new installation I decided to take a backup of the documents which were now accessible from the newly installed OS. After taking the backup I decided to go for a factory Restore by pressing the Access IBM button during start up. But instead of entering the IBM rescue and recovery its going to BIOS. The hidden partition is still there on my hard disk and I can see it in disk management application. I have not created rescue and recovery discs however I created a backup using rapid restore on my USB hardisk. But running rapid restore application from my corrupted OS version for a bakup is also not helping because after restarting also it doesn't enter rescue and recovery, but it just prompts for which OS do I need to boot from ( The windows XP professional(newly installed) or the windows xp home(previous corrupted os)).
I want to go for a complete factory restore.
What should I do ??
please help me.

Yes, external FDD will do. All the instructions are given in the above link, click "Obtain instructions for extracting a diskette image" for more info.
