So apparently having my Thinkpad in a Tom Bihn Vertical Brain Cell helped rub off sections of the clear coat. Trying to protect my base from re-cracking helped blemish my Titanium lid... meh.
So I read threads about how to repair it, but is there anyone that has actually done this to a lid? How did you accomplish it? Did you repair the affected section or did you strip the entire lid and redo it all? Did you use a spray or some sort of liquid to do it and what type?
Any insights are welcomed, but I'd prefer to hear from people who've accomplished the task. I have many theories on repairing it myself, including Model and Automotive Clear Coating the lid again.
Anyone repair their Clear Coat on the Titanium Lid?
