onscreen volume display

#1 Post by jobooth321 » Mon Dec 24, 2007 11:50 am

I must be stupid. When I adjust the volume on my Z60t, the onscreen volume display is not showing. I liked seeing where the volume was when I was adjusting it. For the life of me, I can't find the setting to get it back. Any suggestions?

In display properties - advanced, there should be a "tab" with a TP on it, titled "show on display" (sorry mines in german), you need to ensure the box under the picture of the screen is selected.

Not there. Just noticed, too, that when I adjust the brightness, the display doesn't show either. It doesn't show if I turn on the keyboard light or anything. Gotta be a "Thinkvantage" or whatever setting. I'll dig around in the settings and report back.

Which Operating System?

Reinstall hotkey drivers, ACPI Power Management drivers, display drivers. (Assuming you've Windows XP).

For Windows Vista reinstall the following:

1. Lenovo System Interface driver.
2. ACPI Power Management.
3. Display driver. (from lenovo)
4. Hotekey utility.

Add Presentation director to the list too.

Downloaded and reinstalled hotkey drivers and I'm good to go. Thanks for the suggestion!

I was runnin' XP PRO by the way.
