Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller
I got from Underclocker is having IRQ issues. If I disable it no more problems. It keeps the computer from booting unless I pull one of the conflicted cards out. It goes to a black screen and has the IRQ message. If it does boot, it may BSOD.
It was working fine for a couple weeks, then poof. What's the deal?
I disabled it and stuck the drivers in for my proxim orinoco card so get my wife by for now.
Edit: It seems like this may be unrelated to the card as originally posted. See new post in reply below.

It was non-specific, but pulling out any of the network cards seemed to allow it to boot. Eventually I disabled the WIFI card then it would not Enable it. It said it could not start.Harryc wrote:What specific cards/devices/IRQ's are we talking about conflicting here? What OS is this? Machine type/model?
It's an A31. Machine type is irrelevant since it's a replacement motherboard, and the whole thing is completely upgraded from CPU to RAM to Hard Disc.
XP Professional
The WIFI card is the Broadcom card Underclocker was selling. It's listed in his for sale posts. It works pretty flawlessly. Just suddenly windows is flaking out.

I've used HP drivers for my abg broadcom and it worked like a charm...what's the model of the card itself?

Resource Conflict
When you start the computer it does not start.
Black screen comes up and says the following,.....
ERROR
Resource Conflict - PCI Network Controller in slot 01
Bus:02, Device:02, Function:00
Press <F1> to Setup
So now I have no idea what is going on. The WIFI card IS still installed but it's disabled. Dealing with IRQs is all new to me. I was a Mac user until Windows 2000 was known to be stable. I've never had to deal with the whole IRQ issue before. I also have no idea why this would just start happening out of the blue. The "new" system board was running fine for a few weeks before this started. Sometimes after a reboot or 3 it boots up.
Edit: I removed the Broadcom card and it booted after a long wait during post. I'm just baffled.
