GPU cooling for R31?

#1 Post by r2d2 » Sat Jan 12, 2008 12:03 pm

Hi..

After reading on this topic for A31p, I began to wonder if this is applicable in an R31. I have opened up my R31 several times as I cannot get any operating to install. I replaced processor but still the same. In my other post on this XP/Linux install problem (my R31 just hangs after some time during install) ideas were thrown in that it might be cooling problem.

If that is so, how do I know the video chip needs cooling... and where can i find this video chip in the motherboard (i.e. name, label, sticker?). What should I be looking for if I need to know if the video chip needs cooling?

As always.. .thank you for the help...
Best Regards,
Rosh
