I'm really hoping someone here can help me as I've scoured the web and haven't been able to find any answers.
As of a week ago, my R51 has begun randomly rebooting. Sometimes it runs for hours, sometimes it can't get passed the loading screen or go into the bios.
I've run all matter of diagnostics including everything in PC Doctor 5, Memtest+, Sprinrite 6....basically everything I can find. Of course, everything comes back OK.
Here's the crazy thing. When it keeps rebooting on the IBM splash screen, tilting it to the right seems to help it load up. This would suggest a hard drive problem I guess since it's the only thing with moving parts, but the hard drive checks out, and I've been unable to get into the Bios even with the hard drive totally removed.
Oh yeah, and heat doesn't seem to be the culprit either, as I installed the fan utility I found on this forum and kept it running around 55C just to test, yet it still managed to crash.
ANY ideas are appreciated, and let me know if you need any more specific specs to diagnose. Thanks!
