R51 Recovery CD on R52

The hidden partition in this Thinkpad R52 was deleted by someone. the laptop is still running but I wish to re-install it to the factory settings. I don't have the recovery Cd for R52 but we've got its brother R51.

Instead of ordering the CD set from IBM, can I re-install using R51 set instead. I learn somewhere they are almost the same machine. I don't have a spare harddisk to test with.

Should work but you would need to update your drivers:

Drivers and software - ThinkPad R52.
